Welcome to my piano studio! I'm a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) with over 30 years of experience helping students of all ages and skill levels discover the joy of making music. Teaching from my private home studio, I offer personalized lessons designed to nurture creativity, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for piano. piano studio website
My Approach
I take a student-centered approach to teaching. Lessons are tailored for each student, incorporating their goals for their music study. I teach technical skills; use of fingers, hands and arms, etc. I also focus on creative skills; composing, improvisation, reading chord charts and lead sheets. Education and Volunteering
Throughout my career, I’ve been actively involved with local and state chapters of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), where I continue to grow as both an educator and musician. Staying connected with the music community through professional enrichment courses allows me to bring fresh ideas and innovative techniques to my students.
Beyond teaching, I find joy in volunteering as a church pianist and organist, using music to enrich worship services and community gatherings. Whether you're just beginning your musical journey or looking to refine your skills, I’m passionate about guiding you every step of the way.
